1.Introduction

Bugle head is the most remarkable feature of drywall screw, according to its different thread, it can be devided into double lines with fine thread and single line with coarse thread. The former is applicable to the connection between gypsum board and the metal keel with thickness of not more than 0.8mm, while the latter is applicable to the connection between gypsum board and wooden keel.

2. Application

Drywall screw is mainly used in the installation of various gypsum board, lightweight partition wall and ceiling series.

Selection criteria for drywall screw：

A) The head should be round. Many factories could not produce the drywall screws with perfect round head because of the production process issues. It will bring the problem that can not match the gypsum board perfectly after being screwed in, which may cause damages on the board surface.

B) The point should be sharp. This is the most important quality issue. As the drywall screw is drilled directly without prefabricated holes, the point bears the function of drilling through, which requires it to drill through the 6mm metal plate within 1 second. High quality drywall screw requires the point to be sharp and smooth, wire drawing and fracture are not allowed.

C）Screw should be concentric. The cross groove of the screw should be in line with the tip , and be in the center of the round head without any deviation, otherwise the electric tool will shake when drilling in, which will affect the drilling time.
